SFI Field Courses

Siskiyou Field Institute specializes in immersive learning about the Klamath-Siskiyou ecoregion, considered one of six global “hot spots” for animal and plant species diversity. With field course topics ranging from birding, to geologic deep dives, to mycology, to endemic wildflowers, from half-day classes to full weekend excursions, we have have opportunities for you whether you’re an amateur naturalist or professional ecologist.
We encourage you to register for field courses at least 2 weeks in advance, due to limited spaces and course cancelation deadlines. Registration is typically open until 4 PM on the last Thursday before each course.
For on-site courses, we offer a lodging discount for adult students. Please call our main office at 541-597-8530 to reserve SFI lodging.
See our Cancelation Policy.

The Siskiyou Field Institute holds special use permits issued by the Medford District BLM and the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest to conduct classes on their respective public lands.
