About SFI: Our mission is to increase the understanding of, and connection to, the Klamath-Siskiyou ecoregion through education, scientific research, and public engagement. We are located in the beautiful Illinois Valley at 1241 Illinois River Rd. in Selma, Oregon on an 850-acre campus that encompasses pristine woods, serpentine geology, rare plants and animals, and rambling creeks.

Youth Education Programs Instructor (April – June):

Are you passionate about teaching students and/or exploring nature? SFI is hiring educators to facilitate programs for our Outdoor School programming. Join a great team in a beautiful natural setting and make a positive impact on youth and the environment.

Wilderness Backpacking Instructor (June 3rd-30th):

Are you an experienced backpacker interested in guiding the next generation of hikers? SFI is looking for wilderness enthusiasts and professionals to guide a group of campers on a multi-night backpacking experience filled with learning and adventure. Join a great team, gain invaluable experience, and make a positive impact on youth and the environment!
