Family Friendly Rogue River Clean-Up on Saturday, July 18th near Table Rock. We will meet at the Tou Velle Boat Ramp at 10am, and shuttle to our put-in for our 7 mile float. Plan to arrive back at your vehicles around 3pm. Secured parking is $5 cash at Tou Velle State Park. We will stop for lunch along the way, please bring a filled water bottle and a sack lunch with your name on it, that will be stored in our cooler on the boat. Guests will bring their own personal mask (to be worn while in the shuttle vehicle), hand sanitizer, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, long thick rubber gloves for collecting garbage, fleece mid layer and a rain jacket (weather dependent). We will provide paddles, life jackets, trash bags, and drinking water to refill water bottles. Cost is $40 per person and proceeds will be donated to the Siskiyou Field Institute to support our overnight youth education programs on the river. Space is limited to 12 participants on our paddle boats, contact us for an option to join our efforts in your own boat. Thank you for doing your part to help keep our rivers safe and clean for all to enjoy.
For the safety of our young participants, they must weigh at least 40 pounds to participate on the water in one of our boats. We have a limited number of youth life jackets available. Please reserve your spot in advance and make a note to the organizer of your child’s age and weight and if you would like to reserve a youth pfd or if you will be bringing your own.
Safety is our standard when playing on the water. Personal Flotation Devices must be worn at all times during our family friendly river clean-up. If you are bringing our own boat, please wear your PFD while participating in this event. Thank you for modeling safety in our community.
To stoke our energy and celebrate our efforts, local band The Meriwethers will be performing throughout the event at Tou Velle State Park. Check out their music, bring out your friends and families, and let’s celebrate this summer by giving back to our community and the Rogue River.
