Bootstrap Botany and Photography on 8 Dollar Mountain

You’ll wear out your $8 boots while exploring 8 Dollar Mountain’s spectacular outburst of spring bloom in this course designed for wildflower enthusiasts with little plant i.d. experience. In the classroom you’ll learn basic plant terminology, practice keying common species, and see collected local specimens in the herbarium created by Keir Morse. Our instructor will also demonstrate wildflower photography using smart phones and accessories. Then we’ll visit and key out early-blooming plants on SFI land and 8 Dollar Mountain.
