Our 850-acre property is situated at the gateway to the Illinois River Canyon and Kalmiopsis Wilderness. Deer Creek Ranch is nestled up against 8 Dollar Mountain and overlooking the beautiful Deer Creek Valley. SFI's facilities include unlimited primitive campsites, two yurts, a state-of-the-art solar bathhouse and a covered picnic pavilion.





Campsites, group yurts, dorm rooms, and private rooms available.
Hostel-style kitchen, pavilion, and indoor classroom can accommodate  weddings, reunions, retreats, conferences and weekend getaways.*

Outdoor Accommodations


DCC Red Yurt and Solar-heated Bathhouse
Green yurt (sleeps 18) and solar-heated bathhouse.


 
Campsites
$12 per campsite
 
Camp out under the beautiful stars of the Illinois Valley at Deer Creek Center. Bring your own camping gear. If you plan to cook, bring your own cook stove. Use of the solar powered bathhouse, complete with showers, is included.  

Yurt Bed (canvas bed in a shared room)
$17 per person per night (large yurt w/ heating and AC)
$12 person (smaller yurt without electricity)

 
Stay in one of our two spacious yurts. One is heated and cooled for year-round comfort. The other is located just up hill from Deer Creek. Its liquid music will soothe you to sleep. Bring your sleeping bag, personal items (including towels) and food. Use of the solar powered bathhouse, complete with showers, is included in the yurt fee.  
 
Indoor Accommodations
 
 
SFI's facilities are available for rent year-round. Whether you’re looking for a place to stay while you explore Klamath-Siskiyous trails and wild rivers , for a research project site, a peaceful, comfortable location for a business retreat or reunion, or a place to host a special event --SFI  can accommodate you!

​Siskiyou Field Institute’s offices are located onsite in the historic Kendeda House, which also features a large classroom, three private bedrooms, a dorm room that sleeps seven, a fully stocked kitchen, a spacious great room and a covered porch overlooking the valley and the mountains beyond.
