Art by Debra Rice
Scot Loring, an SFI instructor and owner of Pacific Crest Consulting LLC, will give you the lowdown on special status lichens found in Oregon. His program is based on the publication "Rare Lichens of Oregon" recently published by the BLM and available from the Salem office. Find out more about our own special lichens, with colorful common names including jellyfish lichen, batwing vinyl lichen, cryptic kidney lichen, cabbage lungwort, petalled mouse, and eyed centipede. We will have microscopes and specimens available for you to see close up.
