2019 Wilderness Expeditions
Our backpacking expeditions are led by experienced wilderness instructors. At least one instructor per trip is a certified Wilderness First Responder. All additional instructors will be CPR and first aid-certified. Backpacking trip destinations will be determined based on fire activity and conditions. Once confirmed, they will be posted on our website.
We ask that participants plan to be available for “pack prep” 10 a.m. the day prior to the start of the trip. Pack preparation lasts approximately 2 hours. Students will meet the instructor (usually at SFI) and examine their packs to make sure essentials are included. Extras can be borrowed from SFI. Food for the trip will also be disbursed among participants at this time.
Costs include food, transportation and instruction.
